On the Journey: Fifteen Weeks And Counting

Current Word Count: 47,402
Beginning Chapter 25

Fifteen more weeks until the Annual ACFW Conference in Minneapolis. That doesn't seem like much time at all. This week I'm pretty on track with my conference goals. Should finish the manuscript in a couple more weeks (yeah, how many times have you heard that, right?)

I got an interesting idea this week for a sequel to the story. Actually, I already had an idea for a sequel, but this would make it a trilogy, technically. Not sure about it, but I've been making some notes in my spare minutes here and there while my mind wanders.

So. 24 chapters completed, 8 more to go. My word-count seems low, but it's probably not TOO far off for the genre (Young Adult). Plus, one of the things I am sorely missing throughout the manuscript are descriptions and setting details. There are some scenes that are very barren as far as emotions are concerned. So I should color those in as well. And I'm sure by then I'll have a nice full word count. I'm thinking somewhere between 60 and 70K words.

Happy writing!
