On the Journey: Monday at the ICRC

At the last minute, I was able to go to the International Christian Retailer's Convention in Orlando. For the most part, it's geared toward marketing products to Christian bookstores and similar venues, so there are huge displays from various book publishers, jewelers, clothing companies, etc. Neat stuff! And there are lots of give-aways! I came home with over 30 signed books from just one day at the convention. :)

For me, it was a great time to meet some other writers as well as talk with publishers and kind of scope out who does YA and which of their books I've read and am interested in reading. I snagged a few catalogs for further research as well.

I'm totally excited that I got to go-- it just happened to be in Orlando this year, so it was a great time to check it out, since I live within an hour of the Orlando Convention Center.

Not too much fun and exciting news other than that. :)
