On the Journey: Stalled Out Again

So other than analyzing the thoroughly fascinating qualities of Edward Cullen... er, I mean of the first book in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Saga, I haven't even thought much about my manuscript. And that's not exactly a good thing, because baby the clock is ticking! The ACFW conference is just around the corner.

There are a few other writing developments, though. Most recently, I accepted a volunteer position within ACFW (American Christian Fiction Writers) as an Area Coordinator for the state of FL. This basically means I'm kind of a point person for the ACFW members in the state of FL and I am responsible for encouraging membership growth and the formation of local meetings or chapters. So we'll see if I've got the charisma to do it!

My daughter begins pre-school three mornings per week next week, so my new plan is to spend those mornings at the nearby library chopping up and smoothing out the tangles in my manuscript, Broken Glass. (Yes, I realize there's a jumble of metaphors there.)

In other news, I got a few new books at the bookstore last night! I can't wait to crack the covers and dive into them. Look for my review of Patti Lacy's An Irishwoman's Tale this Friday.
