- Kasey has been writing stories since early childhood, and earning recognition for her writing since the sixth grade. Young adult and coming of age stories have always been her focus, and she is still moved by the works of S E Hinton, Sandra Cisneros, and Ellen Hopkins. She was recently named a finalist in the Young Adult Category of the 2008 Genesis Contest for her current manuscript titled Broken Glass.
